Sudhir Choudhrie: co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Boss Magazine

Sudhir Choudhrie is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Boss Magazine, which he set up with his wife in 2009. Sudhir has over 17 years of experience leading and managing international media organizations and advertising agencies. He has worked for organizations like the Times of India Group, WorldSpace, Ogilvy & Mather, and Percept D’Mark. Sudhir holds a bachelor’s degree from St Stephens College and an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. Boss Media is India’s first advergaming company dedicated to empowering brands through innovative games, entertaining experiences, and high-quality content. Sudhir Choudhrie founded it in 2009 as an integrated marketing communications agency.

His Achievements

Choudhrie has received several awards for his work in the media and marketing industry. He was chosen as the Best Innovator of 2009 by Brandweek India (“Innovator of the year”) and won a Total Growth Award for both Ogilvy & Mather and Percept D’Mark. Sudhir was also honored with a ‘Digital Pioneer Award’ at The Asian Media Congress 2010. In 2013, he was inducted into the Print & Publishing Hall of Fame (India) as an industry legend.

Sudhir has also been listed among the ‘Top 50 Most Innovative Marketers of the year 2012’ by The Drum India and has featured in the ‘Top 200 Most Influential Global Indians-2014’ by IIFL Wealth and CNBC TV18. He was also featured as one of the ‘Power Branding Professionals’ by Brand Equity-a magazine covering marketing and brand building.


In 1999 he entered his family business as an Executive Director at the India representative office of Dezan Shira & Associates, a global firm of lawyers and business consultants. Sudhir Choudhrie’s start-up Boss Media was accepted to the Indian Inc 2.0 in 2012 by the Economic Times, a listing of the fastest-growing 100 companies across India in 2012. Boss has raised more than US$1 million (INR 5 crore) in equity funding from global investors such as VCN, Ravin Gandhi, Gateway Ventures, and Sushil Singh. The Delhi Metro changed Sudhir Choudhrie’s life forever and started him on his journey to becoming a professional entrepreneur. In 2001, he founded Club Metro, India’s first youth-centric entertainment club for metro riders.
