In 1975, Sudhir Choudhrie established Magnum International Trading Company to explore and expand export markets in India. In 1995, Sudhir Choudhrie partnered with Taj Hotels and Resorts, a venture that developed a portfolio of four renowned and successful local resorts. Later, Sudhir established a joint venture with Adidas AG to create Adidas Indian Trading, which introduced 180 stores in India. Choudhrie worked in Ebookers PLC as a non-executive director from 1999 to 2005. In 2003, he introduced the first budget airline in India, Air Deccan. With the help of Choudhrie, the airline expanded from one plane to 200 flights daily and seven million passengers annually within five years.
Choudhrie moved to London and became a British citizen in 2010. Currently, he serves as the vice chairman and key advisor of the Alpha Group, a London-based firm specializing in real estate. Choudhrie has helped the company to venture into other sectors, including hospitality, banking, aviation, technology, and healthcare. Through Alpha Group, Sudhir Choudhrie has improved the competence of pilots in the Middle East and the Philippines through training programs.
