Building A Strong Relationship With My Body by Kim Anami
Kim Anami is female empowerment and body positivity advocate, trainer, and author. Her mission is to help women understand the importance of being comfortable in their skin, not just on the outside. In her view, women have erroneously believed that having a perfect figure will make them happy. In reality, it’s the other way around: being happy with who you are inside will help you feel more confident about your appearance. To better help women toward this end, she has launched an online course called Building A Strong Relationship With Your Body, where she shares her knowledge, tips, and tricks on loving your body again and reclaiming your self-worth.
What You’ll Learn In This Course
The importance of re-educating yourself about your body: Kim Anami has identified five key factors contributing to women’s unhappiness with their bodies. These factors are misinformation, negative experiences, peer pressure, the media, and a lack of self-love. To help her students address these core issues, the course is structured around four main themes:
- Understanding the anatomy of your sex organs.
- Acknowledging your feelings.
- Learning how to look after yourself and love your body through visualization.
How to re-educate yourself about your body: The anatomy class will teach you how your genitals function and help you understand how they differ from men’s bodies. You’ll also learn how your reproductive system works and how your hormones are connected to your sexuality. The feelings class will help you recognize and acknowledge your emotions, so you’ll be better able to deal with them. You’ll also learn how to create a daily self-care ritual to keep your mind and body healthy and happy. The how to look after yourself class will teach you how to create a healthy mind-body connection, improve your self-esteem, build a positive body image, and break the cycle of shame. Finally, you’ll learn how to love your body again through visualization and meditation.
How To Become Comfortable In Your Skin
To become comfortable with your skin, you must first be confident in your mind. However, you can take steps to reach that level of self-confidence. One of the first things you can do is start a gratitude journal. This will force you to focus on what you are grateful for, which will help increase your self-esteem and decrease feelings of shame. Another way to boost your confidence is to practice daily self-talk. When you’re feeling down and lacking in confidence, you can use these affirmations to help lift your mood: “I am beautiful and worthy,” “I am confident,” “I am smart enough to succeed,” “I am healthy,” “I am strong” or “I am brave.” You can also create a personal mantra, like “I am worthy” or “I am beautiful.”
